Exclamation Needing some help

I have a 2007 Nissan Sentra. Recently when I shift the car into reverse the car does not have much power. Then engine revs, but makes a lower sound. Its not until the engine revs up till about 3k rpm before the car jolts backwards. The car will run just fine in Drive. I have taken the car to my mechanic and he recommended flushing the tranny. I have a hard time believing that could be the issue. I have done some looking around on the internet and it sounds like the nissans do have tranny issues, but this seems different to me.

Has anyone had any similar issues? Or, and guidance or help of something to look for? Any help at all would be appreciated. TIA

Also this does not happen every time I start the car. It is very random.

Not sure but have you checked for any recall bulletin with that year of Sentra?
