Default Brake Booster.

I think my brake booster needs to be replaced. Still have good brakes, but when I apply the brakes the engine idles erratically. How hard is the unit to change out & what would I expect to pay for a rebuilt booster? It's a 91 D21 with 5 speed. Van

To test your booster pump the brakes with the engine off maybe 5 times to deplete the vacuum storage. Then push on your brake pedal when starting the engine and keep it on the brake pedal. It should travel a little further. If it does then your booster is fine and your issue lies else ware the booster is just amplifying it.
