Default Electrical abnormalities

I own a 1986 300 zx turbo. Occasionally; here I mean in the last 6 months, I've been experiencing a popping/crackling in the speakers while the stereo is on. I thought it might be just a lose connection or wire thats grounding out in the stereo or speakers. Checked them all and found nothing. This would come and go. A little later, my battery, coolant temp. and washer fluid idiot lights would flicker when I started the car. This would disappear after 30 secs. or so or after revving the motor. I thought that maybe my alternator was going south. Had it tested and it checked out. Replaced the battery as well. So, it seems that something electrically that is getting power all the time (car running or not) is draining the battery (after new batt. installed). The latest now is that (again) occasionally, I will get a high pitch whine or alarm sound somewhere in the vicinity of the stereo/climate control module area and the little climate control lights will pop on and stay on after the car has been shut off for a while. This will all cease if you turn the key to the ACC position, start the car or pull the 10 amp "room lamp" fuse on the left side of the fuse panel. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I would appreciate any feedback/ideas. thanks
