I have the same problem on my 2018 N-Connector. Noise from new (car 2 months old). Asked the dealer to check it out, he found nothing? Adjusted the heat shield on the exhaust, if this had been the problem the noise would be there all the time. I said I was not happy and still think the car has a rattle at start up. I have had many years of working on cars and I am qualified mechanical engineer, this engine should not have this rattle. The dealer said come back after the car has 1000 miles on the clock and they will have another look at the car. This rattle might be an engine characteristic, but I doubt it. It would nice to hear from other owners as to how quiet their cars are at start up, this would be much appreciated.
