Exclamation Need help! Interior lighting issues...

I'm a female who knows just the basics about cars, so I apologize in advance if I don't use the proper terms, but I'm going to try to explain this as best as I can, and pray someone will understand my questions/issues, and be able to help me!

I own a 2003 Frontier Crew Cab truck, and one day my radio just stopped working. I was knowledgeable enough to know to check the fuse first, but strangely the manual didn't mention anything, at least that I could find, about the location of the radio fuse. So I did the typical google search and found it was located in the fuse box under the hood. I checked the fuse for "audio", and for the "audio amp" and both were fine, so I assumed it was the stereo itself and decided to buy an aftermarket one. Unfortunately, when I was having the new one installed, we found that the audio amp was blown on the new one, so I had to return it. I decided to go with a different & better brand, but the one I wanted was out of stock, so while waiting for it to come in stock I told the guy who was installing it for me to just put my factory one back in until I could get the new one. When he hooked the factory one back up, it miraculously started working again! So I thought I just got lucky, but as my luck would have it, that evening when I had to turn my lights on for the first time since reinstalling the factory stereo, none of my interior lights were working. The only lights that work on the instrument panel are the warning lights, such as the seatbelt light, gas light, etc...but the instrument cluster lights don't work, nor do the lights on the stereo, or the heating & air section.

All fuses are fine & even went as far as replacing every single fuse just to be on the safe side, but still no lights. I did another google search and actually found several sites where people have reported this exact thing happening after reinstalling a factory radio, and not just on Frontiers, but all makes of Nissans, but I couldn't find where anyone stated the other lights were out as well, but just their instrument cluster lights, so they just said they changed the bulbs in the instrument panel and all was well again.

So that's my issue, but here is my question & main concern... If I replace the bulbs in the instrument cluster panel, is that going to fix the lights to the stereo & heating & air section as well?

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance anyone can give me, as it will be greatly appreciated!

It was a friend I had doing it and no I never saw him disconnect the battery. I take it that should've been done?
