Default Confusion with the td25 engine

I bought a 1997 nissan d21 with a td25 engine, picking it up next Thursday. I'm the kinda guy that can't just wait (bought off internet and haven't seen it yet). Via the registration I saw that the truck has the td25 diesel engine with a whopping 80 horsepower output, but the engine code is confusing me, cause if I look up nissan engine codes the td25 would be a turbo charged engine, but on all the videos and pics I can find on Google I don't see a turbo.. Is it in fact a nonturbo engine?
I have a 1.8t gasoline vw engine sitting sitting around with a brand new turbo on it, would it work on the 2.5 diesel?

The TD25 diesel engine was not sold in the US.

Some TD25 Hardbody trucks do exist here, but they were imported.

I'm not sure if the TD25 came with a turbo, but the one from your VW would certainly be a custom job. Engines with turbos are designed for a specified amount of boost, and the bolt patterns for them are not universal.
